Kota Kinabalu International Airport, the main gateway to Sabah is conveniently located close to the city. The airport offers five aerobridges plus three other parking stands and is equipped to handle aircrafts up to Boeing 747.
Over 4.3 million passengers flew into the airport in 2007 with 52,047 aircraft movements, making it one of Malaysia's fastest growing regional international airports.
