| Miri Airport, Sarawak

The new Miri Airport terminal has a the capacity of 2 million passengers per annum. The airport, located close to the border of Brunei Darussalam, has become an important gateway to the Northern Region of Sarawak and serves as a hub for interior air services to Mulu, Mukah, Marudi, Limbang, Lawas and other airports.
Miri is the third busiest airport in Malaysia in terms of aircraft movements after KLIA and Kota Kinabalu. In 2005, 40,302 flights operated from the airport, carrying 1.59 million passengers - making the airport one of the country's top five airports in terms of passenger movements. Miri handled 5,392 metric tonnes of cargo in 2005.
