SEPANG - Seramai 15 pegawai dan 301 anggota Keselamatan Penerbangan (AVSEC) telah berjaya ditauliahkan hari ini dalam Majlis Tamat Perbarisan Asas (Passing-Out Parade). Majlis tersebut disempurnakan oleh Ketua Polis Negara, YDH Inspektor Jeneral Tan Sri Razarudin Husain; Pengerusi Malaysia Airports, Dr Nungsari Ahmad Radhi; serta Pegawai Kanan Polis Diraja Malaysia (PDRM), pihak pengurusan tertinggi Malaysia Airports, ahli keluarga para pelatih, dan tetamu lain.
Menurut Dr. Nungsari Ahmad Radhi, “Keselamatan penumpang dan lapangan terbang sentiasa menjadi keutamaan Malaysia Airports. Seiring dengan tanggungjawab Malaysia sebagai Pengerusi ASEAN 2025 dan persiapan untuk Tahun Melawat Malaysia 2026, aspek keselamatan di lapangan terbang menjadi lebih kritikal, terutamanya dalam memastikan kelancaran pengalaman penumpang yang akan berkunjung. Justeru, kami bukan sahaja memberi penekanan terhadap latihan dan pembangunan modal insan, tetapi juga melabur dalam teknologi keselamatan terkini bagi memperkukuh keupayaan AVSEC.”
Majlis Tamat Perbarisan Asas yang diadakan hari ini bertujuan memberikan pengiktirafan rasmi kepada pegawai dan pembantu keselamatan penerbangan sebagai barisan hadapan yang bertanggungjawab menjaga lapangan terbang, sebuah infrastruktur penting negara.
Kesemua pegawai dan pembantu Keselamatan Penerbangan ini telah berjaya menyelesaikan latihan yang komprehensif dan kini dilatih untuk menjalankan tugas mereka dengan cekap dan profesional. Dengan pentauliahan pegawai dan anggota baharu ini, jumlah keseluruhan kekuatan AVSEC Malaysia Airports kini mencapai 3,743 di 39 lapangan terbang di bawah kendaliannya, menjadikan AVSEC MAHB pasukan polis bantuan terbesar dalam sektor korporat di Malaysia.
Para pelatih menjalani latihan selama enam bulan, dengan dua fasa utama. Fasa pertama adalah latihan intensif selama dua bulan di Pusat Latihan Polis (PULAPOL), memberi fokus kepada asas ketenteraman awam dan disiplin keselamatan. Latihan diteruskan selama empat bulan seterusnya di Pusat Latihan Malaysia Airports, termasuk ‘On-Job-Training’ selamat dua bulan, yang memberi pengalaman praktikal di lapangan.
Silibus latihan adalah menyeluruh, merangkumi aspek teknikal dan teori. Para pelatih diajar kemahiran menembak untuk mengasah keupayaan pengendalian senjata api dalam situasi keselamatan. Mereka juga dilatih dalam seni mempertahankan diri, untuk menangani situasi kecemasan dengan kecekapan fizikal, serta aktiviti kawad yang bertujuan meningkatkan disiplin dan koordinasi.
Dari segi akademik, pelatih diberi pemahaman dalam undang-undang polis dan undang-undang penerbangan awam, untuk memastikan pematuhan yang ketat terhadap peraturan keselamatan negara dan sektor penerbangan. Di majlis ini, pencapaian individu turut diraikan melalui beberapa kategori anugerah utama, termasuk Anugerah Terbaik Akademik, Anugerah Terbaik Latihan Luar, dan Anugerah Keseluruhan.

These enhancements reflect KLIA’s continued commitment to elevate every touchpoint of the travel experience especially for families, and to reinforce its vision of creating a world-class airport that puts people first.
The event was officiated by the Minister of Women, Family and Community Development, YB Dato’ Sri Nancy Shukri, underscoring the government’s support for inclusive and family-friendly infrastructure.

The Kids Zone, located at Gate C30 in the South Wing of the Satellite Building, features a new Orangutan-themed playground that offers children a safe and interactive space to play, allowing parents time to unwind before boarding. Equipped with a spiral tube slide, rock climber, wall and step climbers, as well as learning panels, the playground is designed to spark creativity and movement. Its introduction is part of KLIA’s broader strategy to create a more inclusive and engaging airport experience.
In parallel, KLIA also introduced an updated uniform for its Airport CARE Ambassadors, marking the evolution of its customer service standards. The updated look adopts a vibrant orange aesthetic, a colour that symbolises energy and professionalism. This transformation reflects the airport’s ongoing journey of improvement, with service excellence remaining its cornerstone.
Together with other recent additions, such as the Heritage Lane cultural showcase, designated family parking bays; trolley, wheelchair and soon-to-be-available stroller services; these developments embody KLIA’s mission to create a more family-friendly airport, where every journey is supported by warm hospitality that caters to the diverse requirements of passengers
SEPANG - A cybersecurity threat affecting certain computer systems at KL International Airport (KLIA) was detected by Malaysia Airports on 23 March 2025.
A comprehensive investigation was immediately launched to assess the nature and extent of the incident. The relevant authorities were also swiftly notified, including NACSA and the Civil Aviation Authority Malaysia (CAAM).
Ir. Dr. Megat Zuhairy Megat Tajuddin , Chief Executive, NACSA said, “We have been following the developments closely since receiving Malaysia Airports’ report on 23 March. We understand that the operations at KLIA are not impacted, and will continue to monitor the situation and support Malaysia Airports.”
Dato’ Mohd Izani Ghani, Managing Director, Malaysia Airports said, “Malaysia Airports assures all stakeholders that maintaining airport operations remains our focus. We are working with our airport partners to ensure that flight operations and passenger processing continue to operate normally.”
Ensuring the safety, security, and integrity of airport systems remains the highest priority at this time. Technical and operational teams are actively monitoring the situation and implementing necessary measures to safeguard the infrastructure and ensure uninterrupted passenger experience.
SEPANG - Malaysia Airports continues to strengthen its international connectivity with the introduction of new airline routes in February 2025. China Southern Airlines (CZ) launched a new service connecting Urumqi (URC) to Kuala Lumpur (KUL) via Guangzhou (CAN). Operating twice-weekly with a Boeing B737-8, CZ is the sole carrier on this route, offering fresh opportunities for trade, tourism, and cultural exchange between northwestern China and Malaysia.
In addition, China Eastern Airlines (MU) also commenced a new daily service from Xi’an (XIY) to KUL via Kunming (KMG) using the Airbus A320. With the introduction of this new service, China Eastern Airlines joins AirAsia X (D7) as the second carrier to operate flights to Xi’an, providing travellers with greater flexibility and convenience.
According to the Managing Director of Malaysia Airports, Dato’ Mohd Izani Ghani, "The addition of these flight services reflects our ongoing commitment to expand connectivity and enhance travel options for passengers. This is aligned with our new shareholder’s focus on expanding connectivity to drive growth. Such efforts are crucial in strengthening Malaysia’s position as a regional hub and supporting the country’s preparation for Visit Malaysia Year 2026.”
In February 2025, Malaysia Airports recorded 8.3 million passengers across its airports nationwide. This comprised 4.3 million international and 4 million domestic passengers. Including its Turkish airport, Istanbul Sabiha Gökçen International Airport (SAW), Malaysia Airports handled a total of 11.6 million passengers in February 2025.
At SAW, passenger traffic remained steady in February 2025, with a total of 3.3 million passengers. International traffic led with 2 million passengers, while domestic traffic reached 1.3 million, reflecting continued demand for local travel within Türkiye.
