SEPANG – Malaysia Airports would like to announce that effective 3 January 2015, Cebu Pacific Air which is currently operating at Terminal 2, Kota Kinabalu International Airport (KKIA) will transfer their operations to Terminal 1, KKIA.
For AirAsia, the Government has decided to defer their transfer of operations from Terminal 2 to Terminal 1 to a later date. The deferment is to allow for AirAsia to complete the renovation of their operation offices at T1 KKIA. The date will be announced later.
For Cebu Pacific Air, the last flight to land at Terminal 2 will be 5J733 from Manila (ETA 1.30am, 1 January) while the last Cebu Pacific Air to depart from Terminal 2 for Manila will be 5J734 (ETD 2.15am, 1 January).
On January 3, Cebu Pacific Air will start operating at Terminal 1 KKIA, with flight 5J733 arrival from Manila at 1.30am and flight 5J734 departs for Manila at 2.15am.
To minimise inconvenience to passengers, Malaysia Airports will provide shuttle bus service between Terminal 1 and Terminal 2 KKIA on the day that Cebu Pacific operates. Cebu Pacific Air operates every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday from Manila to KKIA.
Malaysia Airports will continue to work closely with the airlines to facilitate the transfer and provide necessary assistance required.
Passengers of Cebu Pacific Air are advised to contact the airlines in advance to confirm details of their flights, especially the departure and arrival terminal to avoid any inconveniences. Passengers are also advised to continue observing proper time management to ensure they arrive at the terminal in timely manner for their flights.
