This achievement is remarkable and I would like to thank and congratulate the KLIA work force for this outstanding achievement, which has further enhanced KLIA's and thus Malaysia Airports' reputations. Furthermore, the survey conducted is transparent, unsolicited and with worldwide coverage, while the votes are impartial and based on real experiences from travelers, which means the service was sincerely valued and genuinely awarded."

He added, "With klia2 replacing LCCT, we will soon be having much bigger and better facilities, and will be well positioned to support the robust growth of traffic into Malaysia. We are optimistic that we will continue to perform well as klia2 will only offer better services, comfort level and experience which will be an added value to our customers."

KLIA's outstanding run in the Skytrax World Airport Awards started in 2010 when it won two awards - Best Airport Immigration Service and also Staff Service Excellence in South East Asia category.
