Malaysia Airports Expresses Gratitude to Tan Sri Dato’ Sri Syed Anwar Jamalullail as He Steps Down as Group Chairman and Welcomes Tan Sri Datuk Zainun Ali as the New Group Chairman

SEPANG – Malaysia Airports Holdings Berhad (MAHB) wishes to announce that YAM Tan Sri Dato’ Seri Syed Zainol Anwar Ibni Syed Putra Jamalullail has stepped down as Non-Independent Non-Executive Chairman of MAHB after the close of Bursa Malaysia’s trading hours today.

The Group and its Board of Directors would like to express its appreciation and gratitude to YAM Tan Sri Dato’ Seri Syed Zainol Anwar Ibni Syed Putra Jamalullail for his invaluable contribution during his tenure with the company. During his tenure, YAM Tan Sri Dato’ Seri Syed Zainol Anwar Ibni Syed Putra Jamalullail has brought the company to greater heights in achieving the financial performance, as well as quality of services and operations. He has been very committed in ensuring that corporate governance and integrity are observed throughout the organisation. With his vast experience and excellent leadership, YAM Tan Sri Dato’ Seri Syed Zainol Anwar Ibni Syed Putra Jamalullail has passionately driven the Company towards its journey on transformational culture change.

The Board would also like to announce the appointment of YBhg Tan Sri Datuk Zainun Binti Ali as Non-Independent Non-Executive Chairman of MAHB with effect from 18 January 2019. She held various positions in the legal and judicial service whereby she was appointed as Judicial Commissioner in August 1996 and named a Federal Court Judge on 4 April 2012. She had retired as Federal Court Judge on 4 October 2018.
