“Nostalgia Raya” At KUL Brings Back Joyful Memories

SEPANG – Malaysia Airports invites passengers to reminisce their fondest childhood memories of Aidilfitri with its joyful “Nostalgia Raya” experience – a month long campaign that will see its international airports enlivened with a diorama of old Kuala Lumpur. Guests travelling through KL International Airport (IATA Code: KUL) will also be able to experience activities and performances that celebrate the uniqueness of Hari Raya as a truly Malaysian festivity. The campaign, which will be held till 16 June will see Malaysia Airports working with homegrown brands to evoke the feeling of nostalgia by revisiting scenes of Hari Raya during a gentler time in history, complete with life-sized storefronts and landscapes that harken to the 1950s and 1960s Malaysia, designed by the creative outfit, LokaMade.

“As part of our Commercial Reset Strategy, we aim to bring new and joyful experiences to our airports. We hope that this campaign will create a sense of belonging and excitement for our guests as they make their journey back home to their loved ones,” said Mohammad Nazli Abdul Aziz, senior general manager of commercial services for Malaysia Airports.

On top of these unique installations, passengers at KUL can also partake in cultural activities such as the traditional art of Batik painting; send postcards to their families courtesy of Pos Malaysia; or watch cultural performances like Cak Lempong or Pop Yeh Yeh.

From now till 16 June 2019, shoppers will also be entitled to redeem* exclusive Malaysia Airports merchandise, specially designed by LokaMade and Bingka.KL, when they spend the respective minimum amounts  at all international airports in Malaysia: KUL, Penang International Airport, Langkawi International Airport, Kuching International Airport and Kota Kinabalu International Airport.

• Malaysia Airports Money Packets designed exclusively by Bingka.KL (with minimum spend of RM250 in a single receipt, redeemable at all international airports)
