Royal Jordanian Now Flies With B787 Dreamliner to klia

KUALA LUMPUR – KL International Airport (KLIA) witnessed another historic moment yesterday as Royal Jordanian Airline (RJ), the national flag carrier of Jordan made its historic landing at KLIA using their brand new Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft. Royal Jordanian became the first airline to operate schedule flights with B787 Dreamliner into KLIA.

His Excellency Nasser Lozi, Chairman of the Board of Directors, Royal Jordanian said, “The state-of-the-art Dreamliner will be assimilated in our fleet, helping the airline operations soars in terms of fleet and services, and reducing maintenance cost, particularly after phasing out the currently running long-haul aircraft.”

Mohamed Sallauddin Mat Sah, General Manager of Marketing, Malaysia Airports said, “Malaysia Airports would like to congratulate Royal Jordanian for this historic moment and we hope the airline will continue to prosper especially for their operations to KLIA. The brand new aircraft B787 Dreamliner with greater facilities on board will certainly be another add-on value for passengers to fly with them.”

The new B787 Dreamliner, which offers 24 Business seats and 246 Economy seats, is part of Royal Jordanian Airline effort to upgrade and modernize their fleet for medium and long haul routes, replacing the A330s and A340s.

B787 Dreamliner is known for its fuel efficiency and configured with enhanced facilities such as bigger window and overhead bin, low cabin altitude, state-of-the-art entertainment system, enhanced ventilation systems and also LED mood lightings. With these enhancements, passengers can expect a better flying experience, more luxury and most importantly, more comfort.

Royal Jordanian has been operating to KLIA since 2012, offering three flights weekly on the Kuala Lumpur-Bangkok-Amman route utilising A330 type of aircraft. At present the airline has two B787s Dreamliner in their fleet and by end 2014, three more B787s will be joining their fleet.
