Kuala Lumpur, 1 May 2014 - The first day of operations for klia2 has been smooth sailing with a total of 42 flights and approximately 6,300 passengers arriving and departing at klia2 up to 5.00pm today.
As of 2 May, the airlines which have started operating at klia2 are Malindo Air, Cebu Pacific Airways, Lion Air and TigerAir.
Out of the 42 flights, 28 were from Malindo Air flights, 6 from Lion Air, 6 from TigerAir and 2 from Cebu Pacific.
AirAsia, AirAsia X, Indonesia AirAsia, Thai AirAsia and AirAsia Zest will start to operate at klia2 on Friday, 9 May when all their flights will arrive and depart from klia2.
Malaysia Airports would also like to advise passengers to contact their respective airlines in advance to confirm details of their flights, especially the departure and arrival terminal to avoid any inconveniences.
Passengers are also advised to continue observing proper time management to ensure they arrive at the terminal in timely manner for their flights.
