SEPANG – Malaysia Airports Holdings Berhad (“MAHB”) completed its inaugural Rights Issue following the listing of and quotation for 275,308,267 MAHB Shares on the Main Market of Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad today. The Rights Issue, which was first announced on 10 November 2014, was fixed at RM4.78 per Rights Share and successfully raised RM1.3 billion for MAHB. MAHB received total valid acceptances and excess applications for 303,179,299 Rights Shares, registering a subscription rate of 110.12% for its Rights Issue.

Proceeds from the Rights Issue will be substantially used for the repayment of the Bridging Facility which was secured to finance MAHB’s acquisition of the remaining 40% interest in Istanbul Sabiha Gokcen Uluslararasi Havalimani Yatirim, Yapim ve Isletme A.S. (“ISG”) and LGM Havalimani Isletmeleri Ticaret ve Turizm A.S. (“LGM”) which manages and operates Sabiha Gökçen International Airport in Turkey. The acquisition was successfully completed on 2 January 2015, and MAHB now owns 100% equity stakes in ISG and LGM.

This reflects the level of confidence and faith that the market has towards our Group’s strong fundamentals and our strategy going forward, for which I would like to thank them.”

CIMB Investment Bank Berhad and Maybank Investment Bank Berhad are the Joint Principal Advisers, Joint Managing Underwriters and Joint Underwriters for the Rights Issue, while JPMorgan Securities (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd is the Joint Underwriter.
