Malaysia Airports’ Quality Management Excellence Receives International Award

LONDON — Malaysia Airports achieved an international recognition for its quality management performance when the European Society of Quality Research (ESQR) honored Malaysia Airports Holdings Berhad (Malaysia Airports) with the Quality Achievements Award 2015. This was a major achievement in quality management for Malaysia Airports, a recognition of its success in substantially reducing the numbers of Non-Conformance Report (NCR) from year-to-year and also for its efficiency in identifying risks and managing them through risk-based thinking.

The Quality Achievements Award 2015 was presented by European Society of Quality Research to Shariffah Monaliza Syed Lope Ariffin, Senior Manager of Corporate Quality Management, Malaysia Airports in a Gala Dinner Award ceremony held at Grange St Paul’s Hotel in London last Sunday.

In acknowledging this recognition, Datuk Badlisham Ghazali, Managing Director of Malaysia Airports extended his gratitude to the company's stakeholders for their dedication and collaboration in improving the company's quality performance, “Malaysia Airports is an internationally renowned airport operator and we work in a highly complex multi-stakeholder environment. This award is a testament to the level of collaboration that exists between our internal and external stakeholders.”

“It is also a validation of our excellence in service delivery and continuous commitment to push the limits of quality with innovation. Building on this, we will continue to further improve our quality performance at all our airports,” added Badlisham. 

The annual recognition program by ESQR recognizes and highlights outstanding business results, best practices, quality awareness and achievements by companies in regional and global markets. It also recognised other renowned business leaders, academic experts, quality professionals and diplomats representing different sectors from Europe, Asia, the Americas, Africa and Australia for their outstanding commitment, support and results in quality management strategies during the same award ceremony.

ESQR is based in Lausanne, Switzerland and handles strategic questions in quality management as well as promotes Quality Culture and continuous improvement in quality through their annual conventions, which serves as a global forum to perfect quality management techniques. ESQR promotes quality awareness, recognises good business practices, technological innovation, quality achievements in organisations worldwide, and publicises these organisations’ successful performance strategies.
