SEPANG – Malaysia Airports wish to inform that as at 6.00 am today, the team is still in the midst of stabilising the system at KUL. As mentioned earlier, the systems disruption has caused flights delays. In mitigating this, we have utilised all 38 remote bays at KLIA Main Terminal to cater to aircraft that are not able to proceed to the scheduled gates as they are still being occupied.
KOTA KINABALU – The power supply at Kota Kinabalu International Airport (BKI) has been fully restored at 3.20am on 24 February 2022 following a temporary disruption that started from 4.45pm on 23 February 2022. The power disruption occurred during power supply migration works conducted by the airport’s contractor and had affected certain areas of the terminal only. Passenger processing at the terminal was able to carry on as usual due to the availability of alternative electricity supply provided by several generator sets for essential operations.
SEPANG – We wish to update that the systems at KUL have not fully stabilised. The team will continue to work round the clock in order to rectify the situation. Among the solutions that are being employed include the replacement of hardware equipment. We are pleased to inform that we have received delivery of the equipment which will undergo testing tonight. We hope to be able to resolve the situation by tomorrow morning (23 August 2019).
SEPANG – Our technical team is now in the midst of stabilising the critical passenger-facing systems at KUL. Meanwhile, all relevant stakeholders such as the Civil Aviation Authority Malaysia (CAAM) and also the representatives of airlines operating at KUL, including the Chairman of the Airline Operators Committee (AOC) have been briefed on the latest progress updates and mitigation plans.
