New Operating Agreements Ensure Commercial Sustainability And Facilitate Growth For The Nation’s Airports

SEPANG - Malaysia Airports Holdings Berhad (MAHB) has obtained in-principle approval from the Government of Malaysia (GoM) through a cabinet decision on 2 February 2023 on the material terms of the Operating Agreements (OA 2023) to operate, manage, maintain and develop 39 airports and STOLports until 2069. 

KLIA And Langkawi International Retain Positions As The World’s Best Airports In Q3 2022 Global Airport Survey

SEPANG – KL International Airport (KLIA) and Langkawi International Airport (LGK retained their positions as the world’s best airports by achieving perfect scores of 5.00 respectively in the Airport Service Quality (ASQ) survey for Q3 2022. Both airports had attained the same top spot in Q2 2022. For Q3, KLIA shared the achievement in the over 40 million passengers per annum (mppa) category alongside eight other airports. Meanwhile, LGK was the only airport in its category of 2–5 mppa to score full points in the survey.

SEPANG – KL International Airport (KLIA) and Langkawi International Airport (LGK) are among the world’s best airports in the latest Airport Service Quality (ASQ) survey for Q2 2022. Both airports achieved a perfect score of 5.00 in the global survey by Airports Council International (ACI) that measures overall passenger satisfaction for terminal safety, facilities, services, and cleanliness.  KLIA shared the achievement with 7 other airports in the over 40 million passengers per annum (mppa) category. As for LGK, it was the only airport scoring full points in the 2 – 5 mppa category.

Airports Getting Ready To Welcome Influx Of International Passengers

SEPANG – KL International Airport (KLIA) has been placed at world's number 1 spot in the Airport Service Quality (ASQ) survey for Q4 2021. This placement is achieved alongside 9 other international airports in the same category of over 40 million passengers per annum (mppa) that had all received a perfect score of 5.00 in the global survey. The results were recently made known by Airports Council International (ACI) who is responsible for benchmarking the world’s best airports in terms of overall passenger satisfaction for terminal safety, facilities, services, and cleanliness.

Monthly Passenger Movements In Malaysia Passes 2 Million Mark For The First Time Since The Onset Of The Pandemic

SEPANG – Malaysia Airports’ network of airports in Malaysia recorded a total of 2.3 million passenger movements in November 2021, passing the 2 million mark for the first time since the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic in April last year. The 77% increase from the 1.3 million recorded in October was mainly contributed by domestic passenger movements which continued to improve since the easing of interstate travel restrictions. Airports in Malaysia recorded a total of 2.15 million domestic passengers last month, an 82% increase from 1.18 million passengers in the preceding month.

SEPANG – KL International Airport (KLIA) and Langkawi International Airport (LGK) are the world’s No.1 airports for Q2 2021 in the latest global Airport Service Quality (ASQ) survey by Airports Council International (ACI). Both airports achieved a perfect score of 5.0/5.0 in the industry survey that benchmarks the world’s best airports in terms of facilities and service standards. KLIA was previously in the 9th spot, scoring 4.99/5.0 for Q1 in the over 40 million passengers per annum (mppa) category whereas LGK was in 3rd spot with the score of 4.97/5.00 in the 2-5 mppa category.
